What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things between visits. This site uses very few.
Cookies this site uses
Strictly necessary. WordPress may set cookies if you log in (you won’t — that’s just me) or if you leave a comment, to remember your details for next time. The cookie consent banner also sets a cookie to remember your choice, so it doesn’t ask you on every page. These don’t track you and can’t be switched off, because the site needs them to function.
Analytics (optional). If you accept them, Google Analytics sets cookies (names beginning _ga) that help me see anonymous information about how the site is used — which posts get read, roughly where visitors are from. These expire after up to two years. If you decline, they’re never set, and the site works exactly the same.
Your choices
You can accept or decline analytics cookies in the banner when you first visit, and change your mind any time via the cookie settings link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — instructions are in your browser’s help pages.
